Paul Roderick 'Rod' Sanderson, age 89, of the Griggsville Estates, and formally of Pittsfield, IL, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2024, at the Illini Community Hospital. He was born on December 27, 1934, in Detroit, IL to Claud and Margaret Woodall Sanderson.Rod grew up in Detroit, IL and graduated from Pittsfield High School. After high school he went on to serve his country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged. Rod worked at King Feed for twelve years in the production department. He later drove a truck for several area companies including Gerard Brothers. Rod was a very quiet and reserved person but could be very social and observant. He enjoyed car rides, people watching and enjoyed going to the local restaurants. In the last few years, he made his home at the Griggsville Estates, where he fit in quite well.
