Douglas D. 'Buzzy' Buskirk, age 64, of Jacksonville, IL formally of Griggsville, IL passed away at his home on Saturday January 25, 2025. He was born on April 8, 1960, in Quincy, IL to Richard and Wilma (Pindell) Buskirk. He married Marla (Burns) on July 11, 2015, in Jacksonville, IL and she survives.
Doug graduated from Griggsville High School in 1978 and went on to work at the Pit Stop Auto Supply. He then owned and operated Buzzy's Radiator Shop. Doug later worked in maintenance at Pittsfield Jiffi Stop and went on to work at the Bound to Stay Bound Book Bindery in Jacksonville, IL. He finished his working career driving for the Schwann's Company. Doug was a member of the First Christian Church of Jacksonville, where he was very involved in bible studies and always volunteered for whatever was needed. He was also a member of the Griggsville Masonic Lodge #45 AF & AM where he held the position of Master. In his early years, Doug enjoyed going hunting, fishing and mushrooming
