Nicholas Reese Davenport, age 47, of Jacksonville, Il. died Thursday (March 6, 2025) at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, Il.
He was born February 2, 1978 in Jacksonville, Il. son of Robert Wayne Davenport, Jr. and Debra Jean Reese Davenport.
He is survived by a daughter, Rachel Nichole Davenport of Springfield, Il.; his bonus, son Richard Holland of Jacksonville, Il.; his mother, Debra Reese Hinners (Phillip) of Meredosia, Il.; and his maternal grandmother, Genita Reese of Perry, Il.; a brother, Travis Davenport (Paige) of Berea, Ky.; a half-brother, David Tucker of Springfield, Oregon; nieces and nephews, Lance Perry Davenport, Hayden Reese Davenport and Baylee Jean Davenport; and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father; a maternal grandfather, Bill Reese; paternal grandparents, Robert Wayne Davenport, Sr. and Esther Davenport.
Nicholas was a 1997 graduate of Griggsville-Perry High School. He joined the Army National Guard and served for four years, briefly in Germany.
